The Calanda beanie is knitted from extra-fine merino wool. Merino wool has unique properties, which sadly dropped off people’s radar for a while: It warms really well, but doesn’t allow heat to build up, and it wicks away moisture very efficiently. Another amazing feature of merino fibres is that they don’t readily absorb odours. That’s why clothes made of merino wool still smell fresh even after extended wear.
